Stadt/Wildbach, Kunst/Natur, Zivilisation/Wildnis, die charmante Symbiose dieser Gegensätze charakterisiert auch das an der Passer gelegene Alpenstädtchen Meran.
Das von der Europäischen Union geförderte Interreg Projekt 'Die Passer für Meran' hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt die Beziehung Stadt/Fluss aufzufrischen, ihr neue Impulse zu geben.
Als ein kreativer Teil des [un]defined Festivals mit dem diesjährigen Thema Stadt/Raum/Zukunft, stellt sich eine kreative Werkstatt die Aufgabe dieses Projekt zu konfrontieren und in freier Form über Bereiche von Kunst, Design bis Architektur, Akzente zu setzten.
Das Laboratorium:
Bis zu 15 interessierte kreative Leute, sind dazu eingeladen vom 15. bis 25. 07.2010 an dieser Projektgruppe am Un-defined Festival in der Rossi Kaserme Meran teilzunehmen.
Es geht darum Wünsche, aber auch utopische Traumbilder zu Stadt und Fluss zu sammeln und Ideen und Gedanken zum Thema zu äußern. In wieweit ergänzen sich Stadt und Flussbereich, wann werden sie zu einer Bedrohung für einander? Gilt es einschneidende Veränderungen anzustreben oder zu vermeiden? Ist Nähe oder Distanz zum Fluss wertvoller? Soll die Stadt in die Wildnis gebracht werden oder umgekehrt?
Im Laboratorium gilt es die Grenzen Mensch/Stadt/Fluss neu zu definieren. Ob weitsichtige Zukunftspläne oder nahe liegende Aufwertung des bereits Gegebenen. Den Teilnehmern ist es offen gelassen in welcher Art sie arbeiten.
Der Ablauf beginnt als Themen- und Gebietsanalyse mit Einführung in das Interreg Projekt, Führungen zur Geschichte und Entwicklung der Passerstadt und Exkursionen entlang des Flusses und dessen kulturellen und ökologischen Umfeldes. In der zweiten Phase werden die Eindrücke und das Themenfeld gemeinschaftlich untersucht und debattiert.
Es werden Ideen generiert und ausgewertet, welche zum Abschluss individuell oder in Kleingruppen umgesetzt werden. Die Arbeit wird dokumentiert und dem Besuchern am Festival präsentiert.
Nützlich kann eine Aufgliederung in verschiedene Ebenen sein. Eine Gruppe die sich mit der Realisierung des Interreg- Projektes befasst, die zukunftsorientiert an Visionen und Vorschlägen, wie neue Freiräume und Zugänge ans Wasser, arbeitet.. Eine Zweite könnte eine Aktionsgruppe sein, die durch Interventionen auf künstlerische Weise den Stadt/Flussbereich bespielt und erlebbarer macht um das Verhältnis Passer/Stadtbewohner zu thematisieren.
Das Arbeitsumfeld liegt zwischen dem Fluss/Stadtbereich und einem Projektraum am Festivalgelände. Der offene Projektraum wird zum arbeiten genutzt, dient aber auch als Ausstellungsraum zur Präsentation der Ergebnisse. Besucher können dort aktiv in die Arbeit einbezogen werden.
Essentielles Werkzeug steht zur Verfügung, spezifische Ausstattung sollte der/die Teilnehmern/in selbst mitbringen. Es wird versucht so viel wie möglich mit recycelten Materialien zu arbeiten. Mit zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrrädern und eventuell möglichen Schlafplatzen wird geholfen.
[un]defined Festival:
Seit drei Jahren findet in der Rossi Kaserne Meran das multidisziplinäre Kunst und Musikfestival statt. Kreativ Schaffende finden dort Platz auszustellen und Projekte umzusetzen. Es ist ein idealer Ort um Leute zu treffen und Ideen auszutauschen. In der gemeinschaftlichen Mensa wird gekocht. Das Programm bietet den Besuchern und Mitwirkenden mit Musik, Film, Kunst, Literatur und vielem anderen, gute Unterhaltung.
Interreg 4 Projekt:
Interregg4 ist eine durch die Europäische Union geförderte Initiative die in verschieden Gemeinden zwischen Österreich und Italien das Zusammenspiel zwischen Fluss und Stadt aufwerten will. 'Die Passer für Meran' ist in der Planungsphase und es werden nach kurzfristigen ( bis 2012) und langfristigen (2020) Möglichkeiten gesucht um in Meran das Leben an der Passer aufzuwerten. Die Verantwortlichen dieses Projekts sind gespannt auf die Ideenwerkstatt am Festival und werden sie unterstützen.

Città/torrente, arte/natura, cività/luogo selvaggio, l’affascinante simbiosi di questi opposti carattericca anche Merano, cittadina alpina in riva al Passirio.
Il progetto interegionale “ Il passirio per Merano”sostenuto dall’Unione Europea si pone come obiettivo il rinnovamento del connubbio citta/fiume e si augura di poter creare nuovi impulsi.
Come parte attiva del festival culturale [un]defined, quest’anno all’insegna del tema cità|spazio|futuro si intente creare un laboratorio che si confronti con questo progetto, in una forma aperta e attraverso campi diversi come arte, design e architettura.
Il laboratorio:
Sono invitati a partecipare al massimo 15 elementi
Si tratta nello specifico di racogliere e rendere pubbliche, idee e pensieri sia che si tratti di desideri o di visioni utopiche rispetto al tema città e fiume.
In che modo si completano la città e le zone fluviali? Quando diventano una minaccia l’una per l’altro? Sono sufficienti cambiamenti radicali o bisogna evitarli? Che valore hanno la distanza o la lontananza dal fiume? La città deve essere portata verso luoghi selvaggi o viceversa?
Il laboratorio vuole ridefinire il confine uomo/città/fiume. Ai partecipanti è lasciato libero spazio per agire e lavorare come meglio credono, realizzando progetti per il futuro o semplici visioni.
L’inizio della ricerca prevede l’introduzione al progetto interregionale con un’analisi della zona, un’introduzione storica sulla città ed escursioni lungo il fiume e del suo contesto ecologico.
Nella seconda fase verranno discusse dal gruppo le tematiche e le impressioni scaturite nel primo approccio al progetto. Verranno inoltre poi selezionate una serie di idee che saranno poi concretizzata individualmente o in piccoli gruppi e verranno presentate al pubblico.
Una divisione su diversi piani potrebbe tornare utile: un gruppo potrebbe occuparsi della realizzazione del progetto interregionale e lavorare alla realizzazione di zone di passaggio vicino all’acqua oppure a spazi liberi e usufruibili dalle utenze, mentre un secondo gruppo potrebbe agire come gruppo di azione e intervenire secondo un’ottica artistica nella zona del fiume per poter anche tematizzare l’atteggiamento degli abitanti della zona del Passirio.
Il lavoro si svolgerà tra una sala progetto del festival e la zona tra la città e del fiume. Lo spazio all’interno del festival fungerà anche da spazio espositivo per la presentazione dei risultati raggiunti. I visitatori hanno un ruolo attivo e possono essere coinvolti nel lavoro.
Gli strumenti base sono a diposizione di tutti, particolari necessità sono a carico dei partecipanti. Si cercherà di lavorare il più possibile con materiali riciclati. Biciclette ed eventualmente possibilità di pernottamento saranno messe a disposizione.

Da tre anni si svolge presso le caserme Rossi il festival culturale e multidisciplinare
Creativi, trovano qui spazio per poter esprimere le loro idee e per poterle presentare a un pubblico eterogeneo,
SI tratta di un posto ideale per poter incontrare gente e per prestarsi al confronto e allo scambio di idee. In una cucina comune verrà cucinato . il programma presenta ai visitatori progetti e manifestazioni di musica, film arte e letteratura, un po’ di sano divertimento.
Interreg 4 progetto interregionale:
Interregg4 è un’iniziativa sostenuta dall’unione europea che si svolge tra diversi comuni tra l’Austria e l’Italia che intendono valorizzare il ruolo del fuone in spazi urbani. Il “Passirio per Merano”è ancora in una fase ancora progettuale, ma si tenterà a breve termine (entro il 2012) e a lungo termine (entro il 2020) di cercare delle possibilità per cercare di migliorare la vita lungo il Passirio.

City/Wild River, Art/Nature, Civilization/Wilderness, the charming symbiosis of this contradiction characterizes the relationship between the passer river and the Alpine town of Meran.
The EU-funded interreg project „The Passer for Meran”aims to revitalise and stimulate the relationship between town and river.
As a creative element of this years „[un]defined” festival, which will be themed „City/Space/Future”, a creative workshop will take place to address the topic of this project through various disciplines, from Art and design through to architecture.
The laboratory:
The workshop is not only about expressing ideas, thoughts and desires, but also encouraging utopian visions with regards to the subject 'town/river relationship'. To what extent are city and river complimentary? When do they become a threat to one another? Are major changes beneficial or should they be avoided? Is proximity or distance from the river more valuable? Should the city be brought into the wilderness or vice versa?
The work-group aims to redefine the borders between city and river, which can either be addressed in terms through a re-evaluation of the current conditions, or the development of plans for a more distant future. Participants will be free to chose how they wish to go about their work.

An approach involving various different levels may be of interest. One group could concentrate on the implementation of the interreg project: working on visions and proposals for the future, such as new recreational areas and new ways of accessing the river. A second group could take a more active approach, through artistic interventions throughout the city/river area, in order to create new experiences relationships between the river and the local inhabitants.
The working area will stretch between the city/river area, and a project room located on the festival grounds. The project room will be used as an open workspace where visitors can actively engage in the process, as well as a showroom for presenting the results.
Essential tools are already available. More specific tools or materials should be brought by the participants. Recycled materials will be used whenever possible. All festival participants will prepare food and eat together. The coordinators will try to provide or aid people in finding accommodation, as well as bicycles for transport.

Interregg4 is funded by the European Union initiative that seeks to add value in various communities throughout Austria and Italy. 'The Passer for Merano' is in the planning phase and it will investigate short-term (until 2012) and long-term (2020) ways to enhance the life along the Passer in Meran.
